The road leads past Forsamlingshuset on the left. <\/p>\n\n<p>Vammen Church from around 1200 has a Romanesque apse, choir and nave. The tower and porch are late Gothic additions.  You now walk through the oldest part of Vammen, Nederby, and turn right on \u00d8ster K\u00e6rvej at the wastewater treatment plant.<\/p>\n\n<p>Today, the meadows are mainly used for grazing and haymaking or just lie fallow. This provides opportunities for a rich bird and animal life and an abundance of fauna. On the right is a beautiful gorge formed during the Ice Age (30 meter rise).  <\/p>\n\n<p>On the north side of Skals\u00e5dalen are the protected and heather-clad H\u00e6rup Bakker, where fallow deer and roe deer roam in herds.<\/p>\n\n<p>At the yellow marker post, turn right along the sandy road. If you&#8217;re lucky you&#8217;ll see fresh animal tracks (of deer, fox and badger). <\/p>\n\n<p>Follow the road to the intersection, where you turn right. On the left &#8211; right by property no. 39, is the highest point in the area, Rish\u00f8j, 57 meters above sea level. <\/p>\n\n<p>Follow the sand road and the blue posts to the houses on L\u00f8ndalen. Turn left and at the scout house keep left and walk up towards the paved Hobrovej.
